Bio: Matthis was a very accomplished student and football player at Lake Oswego. As a junior, he was named League Player of the Year. He has received two first-team all league awards on defense and one on offense. Matthis was also honored as MVP of his league in 2001, and first-team all state in offense and defense. Academically, he is a Scholar Athlete, participated in National Honor society, and is on the Honor Roll. Matthis has received a full scholarship to play for the Naval Academy next fall.
