Chris McGowan - Head Coach - Corvallis High School
Coach McGowan will be the head coach of the South Team after guiding Corvallis to the 5A State Championship in 2006. Coach McGowan has been at Corvallis for 8 years while serving as head coach for the past 5 seasons. He was named the Valley League Coach of the Year in 2003 and won the 5A Coach of the Year award in 2006. |

John Beck - Assistant Coach - Crater High School
Coach Beck was head coach of the South All-Stars in 2003. He has been coaching for 23 years and has been at Crater for the last 3 years. He was named the SOC Coach of the Year in 2003 while at North Medford guided Crater to the 2006 Southern Sky league title. |

Mike Doty - Assistant Coach - Canby High School
Coach Doty is making his seventh appearance as a coach in this All-Star game. He was named Oregon’s 6A Coach of the Year in 2006 and has been his league’s Coach of the Year 8 times. During his time at Canby, Coach Doty has won 8 League Championships. |

Marty Johnson - Assistant Coach - Sheldon High School
Coach Johnson continues to do great things as Head Coach of the Sheldon Irish. Sheldon has won 6 consecutive league championships under the tutelage of Coach Johnson. They won Oregon’s State Championship in 2002 with current Washington State quarterback, Alex Brink leading the way. In 2006, Coach Johnson was named the Southwest League Coach of the Year and has been named Oregon’s Coach of the Year twice (’01 & ’02). |

Darrell Mehl - Assistant Coach - Churchill High School
Coach Mehl joins the South coaching staff after leading Churchill to the Midwestern League Championship in 2006 and was sequentially named MWL Coach of the Year. Coach Mehl has been at Churchill for 3 years but has been coaching for 29 years. He was involved in Cascade High School’s State Championship in 1980 as an assistant coach. |

Randy Nyquist - Assistant Coach - West Albany High School
Coach Nyquist led West Albany to the 2006 5A State Championship game where they came up a bit short against Corvallis in a thrilling game that was decided in triple overtime. Coach Nyquist has coached at West Albany for 8 years and has been named league Coach of the Year three times and won two league championships. |

Coach Sather has been named the Valley League’s assistant coach of the year three times. He has been a coach of 6 league champion teams and been on the coaching staff of two State Champion teams (’83 & ’06). |
