As a senior Matt was a unanimous selection at QB for the 6A runner-up Timberwolves and was also a 2nd Team All-State selection. He also participated in track earning three varsity letters in addition to the three he earned on the gridiron. Matt was an Honors Student and Scholar Athlete of the Year finalist helping him earn an academic scholarship to attend Linfield College in the fall where he also plans to play football.
