Coach Pat Coons is back for his 18th year at Westview. Coons has coached a number of standout players including 2002 4A State Player of the Year Marshal Hartman, current USC player Garrett Jackson, former University of Oregon player Josh Akwenuke, current Duck Austin Kuemper and Seattle Pacific (formally Gonzaga University) transfer Andrew Poling.
Westview played in the 2010 and 2011 6A State Championship games where they fell to Jesuit both times. They return a number of contributors from their 2010 runner-up team and add 6-9 senior and Kansas commit Landen Lucas; who transferred from national powerhouse Findlay Prep in Las Vegas, Nevada.
