Highlights:
The Pioneers return only one returning starter in junior guard Brad Tinsley. Tinsley was selected 1st Team All-League as a freshman and as a sophomore. He led the team in both scoring and assists the past two seasons.
Two prominent additions to the lineup will be 6-9 junior Sammy Shafer and 6-8 senior transfer Jared Cunningham. Both of these big men bring versatility in scoring and rebounding to The Pioneers.
Oregon City plays an up-tempo style of basketball. In the past 8 years, they have been in the State Playoffs seven times and have appeared in the State Tournament twice.
Oregon City is coached by Mike Doherty who enters his 9th season at the school with a record of 145-66. Overall, Coach Doherty holds a career record of 739-340 and won two State Championships at Corvallis H.S. and one at McNary.
