Highlights:
Brad Tinsley returns for his 4th year as a Pioneer Starter. He was selected 1st team All-League in each of the past three years and was 1st team All-State. Brad averaged 24.4 points and 5.6 assists per game last season and has signed a letter of intent to attend Pepperdine University next year.
Sammy Schafer is a 6-9 senior who was second in rebounding, third in scoring and led the team with 42 blocked shots last season. Sammy is a versatile and active player who is one of the team’s best defenders. He is considering several Division I college offers for next year.
In the past nine years, Oregon City has been in the State Playoffs eight times and has appeared in the State Tournament twice.
The Pioneers are coached by Mike Doherty who has a record of 165-73 in 9 seasons at Oregon City. His career record is 759-347 and has won State Championships at McNary and twice at Corvallis.
