’96 & ’97 LSI participant, Freddie Jones of Barlow H.S. won the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest in 2004.
The 3rd Place Game and Championship Game of the 2006 LSI were broadcast nationally on ESPNU.
The LSI’s unique Tournament Pass Fundraiser helps all local participating school’s raise money for their respective programs.
Over $750,000 has been raised by the LSI to all participating schools and respective / various charities during the past 12 years..
Each year, the LSI’s “Mr. Hustle” receives a $1,000 scholarship upon enrollment at the college of his choice.
