TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

In conjunction with the World Basketball Festival 2.0, the 2012 Nike Global Challenge will be held in the nations capital July 13 15 at Episcopal High School and the Armory in Washington D.C.

This 8-team, 16-game tournament features the top high school and U19 basketball players from the best International Teams.

For players from the United States, the Nike Global Challenge is the final tournament in Nike's series of Skills Academies. In June, these players will be invited to participate in positional skills camps around the country hosted by several NBA superstars including Deron Williams (PG), Kevin Durant (Wings) and Amare Stoudamire (Big Men). They then travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to participate in the LeBron James US Skills Academy. The top 30 players selected from this camp will seed three USA teams to represent the United States in the Nike Global Challenge.

FIBA game rules will be followed:

  • Four 10 minute quarters
  • One 15 minute halftime between the second and third quarters
  • One two minute break between first-second and third-fourth quarters
  • 24 second shot clock
  • Back court violation: 8 seconds
