compete on an international stage in Portland. One USA Team vs. one WORLD team
competing for one game and a chance to make their mark on the global
basketball map.
89 past participants have gone on to play in the NBA
including stars like Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, Tony Parker,
Jermaine O’Neal, Mike Dunleavy Jr., and Portland’s Martell Webster, Jerryd
Bayless, Nicolas Batum and Patty Mills.
The game is played under international rules and features
the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Select Team, comprised of the top
high school senior players, playing against a World Select Team, comprised of
top players 19-years-old or younger from around the world.
This is the third year the Nike Hoop Summit has been
played in Portland and will be featuring Terrence Jones, the rising star from
Jefferson High School. You won't want to miss this event!

Evans - 2008
Evans, a 6-6 guard who left Memphis after his freshman
season, is the odds-on favorite to win Rookie of the Year honors at season’s
end after being selected fourth by the Kings in 2009. Among rookies, Evans
ranks first in scoring (20.3 per game) and minutes (37.3) second in assists
(5.6), steals (1.44) and double-doubles (11), third in field goal percentage
(.460) and fourth in rebounds (5.9). He has started all 63 games in which he
has played this season, helping the Kings win six more games this season than
